I joined this club in January 2007 and found them to be a very friendly and extremely supportive bunch. They welcome runners of all abilities. While there is no pressure to take part in events, if you do they really encourage and support. This club would suit beginners and experienced, successful athletes. There are some really experienced runners there who offer some great tips on training etc... but this club is also ideal for the slowest beginners.

It's surprising how quickly beginners catch our enthusiasm for competing in races. We’re a very supportive club and we love team events. There’s no pressure, just lots of encouragement and fun. Many of us meet for training runs locally on Tuesday evenings and Sundays, in summer out of town and off-road where possible.
Belle Vue members compete in most local races: Wilmslow Half Marathon, Stockport 10, Salford Womens’ 5K, Sale 5, Sale 10, Salford 10K and Manchester Parks Grand Prix series. We also compete in the Manchester Cross Country League during the winter. Fell races are also popular.

Club Sessions
Tuesday
Informal road / trail run Tuesday nights. We normally meet at approx 6.30pm in the McDonalds car park @ Debdale Park then go for a nice run "at the pace of talk". It's a bit like going to the pub - good company, nice conversation but no beer and free of charge.

Track Session led by Lynda Cheetham (sometimes James Corrigan) - 7pm Thursday nights.
