I’ve used the ultimate direction one. UD do a 1.5 litre version which might work. They partner with Hydrapak so you could just cut out the branding and get one from Hydrapak too I’ve also used a cheap one I bought last minute which was great for hot weather as it came with an integrated back irrigation system. |

The standard design seems to be a slider at the top these days. I had an old Osprey one which had a screw off cap which was a nightmare as it was easy to cross thread the cap. Avoid this style! trekitt.co.uk

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I like the look of the UD one. Hydrapak bottles have been very reliable for me. Not sure if I can get a Hydrapak branded bladder; I will look.

Hydrapak Velocity looks like what I am after! I expect I'll hate it, but Mrs JD wants one for cycling, so it will get used one way or other. |

I have an Osprey 1.5 litre with a top bar lock and a handle you squeeze to open the top wider for filling, it's pretty good.

I’ve recently bought a Harrier one the 1.5l version of this harrierrunfree.co.uk I bought the Montane Trailblazer 16L as I needed a bigger pack but the front pockets won’t hold my bottles so I went for the bladder instead. Tried it out on Saturday and it was ok, I just need to get used to the long drink tube. |

Montane uses the long thin softflasks, I think.
