The postboxes you place yourself from "buy markers" (but they are free :-)) in the left-hand column in "your account". Flowers are planted when you run in territory outside anyone's mile circle, one each half-mile. (So if you are an area with lots of Fetchies, your planting opportunities will be limited. Whereas as I am strewing them willy-nilly (mostly off a bike, I'll admit).

But with postboxes you don't get points, but you will be informed if any one runs/bikes/walks/cartwheels in your territory

Ah, is that the point of them NO? I started putting some in but they just clutter up the account page list. Btw, how do you know where to put all those relay things in if they're outside your area?

Don't know if that's the main reason for them but it does allow you to see who's nearby. Think they started after the Olympics when the gold medalists started getting their gold postboxes

Putting down relays is hit and miss hopefullly in a busy area you strike lucky Sunday I putone down outside Greenwich park knowing it would get moved to the mall

I've got some near me but they don't move anywhere cos they're at the end of the road on the edge of a cliff.

I'm really confused now.... after I uploaded my VLM run I got loads of flowers picked by other fetchies and assumed they were Londoners out for a run. But then last night I had a shedload of flowers picked by Pedro_Perez and assumed he had been for a run along the Southwell trail.... but my flowers are still there, so maybe that was his London run...

Anyway, all points are good :)

"all points are good" - I think I might suggest it as a new product line ...

===========
1) The scoreboard and markers don't 'reset' on the first of the month any more. They work on a rolling 30 day system.
2) You only need to worry about red bugs.
