DANBERT I enjoyed the run along the old railway line and kept a decent pace going all the way to the bog section. From the bog and up the main climb however, the wheels came off and i walked large sections. Unusually for me I really enjoyed the descent. It's taken me some time to realise that this series of races are Fell races and not trail races. Rochdale Harriers & AC 1:26:40 1:26:40 1:26:40 46.16

Dave A Ran this last year in just over 1:10. Would've been faster, but a stitch struck during the climb through the bogs. Hoping for a faster race this year.

*UPDATE*

See my blog. Fekkin brilliant. Would have been a 14k PB if i was actually 14k long, not 14.72k! Best run of the year for me tho :) Unaffiliated 1:01:45 1:01:45 1:10:00 1:03:13 59.72

KinkyS Watch time. Course was long according to other Garmins, was a bit ill the day before and took a nasty fall at about 10K?ish, so pleased to still dip under 1:30, which was my only aim for what was basically a training run with better scenary :-) Loved most of the course, was very runnable and great fun. Especially the bogs :-) Todmorden Harriers & AC 1:21:42 1:29:15 1:29:15 47.51
kstuart Well that was a fun race bar my disappearance over the edge on the way back. Only a slight tumble with a few scrapes and a bruise or two no doubt. Garmin measured it as 14.91 km and 1100 foot of climbing so i'm happy with my time. Nice to meet up with other Fetchie's too. More hill training required before Coniston trail race i think. Lisrun I am looking forward to this one ! Not done it before, but I am expecting some hills. *Update* Well that was just fantastic !! There was a big hill which lasted from about 3.5K to just after 8K, but I managed to run up it, apart from one very steep section. The bog was fun ! The descent to the finish was great and only hairy in a couple of places. It was beautiful course and it was great to meet several fetchies. One of my most enjoyable races. And to cap a great day, I broke the Fetcheveryone Lakeland Trails spot prize curse and won a pair of Puma Trailfox trail shoes - the best spot prize I have ever come across ! What a day ! Phil_N Fantastic day. Last year I struggled with this one and because of that part of me wasn't looking forward to this one despite it being the easiest of the series. However, this year I loved absolutely every minute of it. Managed to run the whole course and beat last year's time by seven mins. FELL PONIES 1:14:34 1:14:34 1:19:45 47.37
Raisty Raist Was a really good course and really enjoyed it, but couldn't really get going and was a bit of a struggle as I am feeling totally out of shape at the moment Unaffiliated 1:21:30 1:21:30 1:21:30 46.32

Razza Great day. Weather was just right, kept me nice and cool. Did better than I thought. Was nice to see lots of Fetchies around. Pudsey & Bramley AC 1:24:37 1:24:37 1:50:00 1:24:37 50.55
SPKoF I did this last year pacing the 1st lady in on the challenge. If it's wet (it will be) parts of the course are very soft. It's easy running for nearly the whole way with a stunningly good last few miles back down into keswick.

My garmin got 9.13miles and 1560ft of climb so a baby compared to some of the other lakeland trial series.

sporttracks .gpx or memorymap .mmo available via fmail request if you want to know the exact course.

Thats better. felt ill for a few days before this one and struggle over the first few miles. had to walk stretchs of the bog but not too upset with the time all things considered Long Eaton Running Club 1:09:55 1:13:23 1:14:12 51.11
Stepford Wife Whoo hoo! Great day out and fab run! Lost a couple of minutes having a wee at the station but that was very necessary. Railway track hard work but ran a reasonable amount going up and descended Latrigg like a fell runner. One bloke told me to 'be careful' (!). Legs went at the bottom but who cared by then - it was worth it just for the descent :-) Boing :-) Fell Runners Association 1:54:13 1:54:13 1:55:00 1:54:13 37.57
