RunningBob Woodbank Park good venue, nicely organised by guys who'd been there all day with the juniors etc. Rather mean hill - v.steep down and then straight back up. Can't imagine it suited anyone but perhaps worked in our favour against faster athletes coming off a track season. Ran anchor leg for 1st team. Bit of a shock after originally planning to run first leg for 2nd team. Hard to judge the pace with nobody in sight ahead. That was sorted when I was overtaken by Pendle, Blackburn and Liverpool2 at end of first lap. Managed to pick up pace in 2nd lap to rebuild lead over Liverpool2. So only lost 2 places - pleased with that given the competition. Team 6th overall, but we took the cheshire gold - much nicer medals this year :-) Wilmslow RC 18:32 18:32 19:30 18:32 89.37
