Nicholls595 First time at this event (first ever 5k). Registered at New Year but haven't got round to it for one reason or another. Beautiful sunny morning, set out at steadyish pace, didn't know the course so didn't want to go off too quick. Felt comfortable all way round, reckon there is plenty of scope to improve my time. About this parkrun

Hard packed trail plus a bit of road, can get very muddy - 1 small and then 1 big lap - minor undulations - course goes round a large lake. Always starts 5-10 minutes late. Daleside cafe is a fair way from the finish but well worth the trip

Park at Adventure Centre- NG42EW £1.50. Run is on firm trails 1 x lap of large lake and 2 x laps of small lakes. Beautiful lakeside runs. Catch Daleside Cafe afterwards.

2 laps of 1 lake and 1 of another. Nice venue. Free parkrun. Mix of tarmac and grass etc. could be fast if not injured like I was
