About this parkrun

One lap off road course with a sharp hill after one mile, a long slow downhill for most of the rest of the lap. Very friendly event, nice wide start means a easy start for everyone whatever your pace. Light trail shoes in the winter.

Single lap on grass and sometimes muddy gravel paths. Free cafe with Mrs Doyle. Brutal hill at 2k. Pavilion with toilets and changing. The best parkrun ever!

Start & finish on playing fields outside the pavilion with one lap on the comyn, mixture of grass & gravel tracks. Nice course. Toilets & changing in Pavilion along with post run refreshments provided for a voluntary donation. Very friendly.

One lap course mostly on gravel paths with the odd puddle after rain. The significant up is just before half way and the course then flows down nicely. Very friendly. Cafe in pavilion works on donations. Also toilets and changing area in pavilion.
C-Cat 11th May 2019

Grass and gravel playful course with the odd up and down. Can be busy and can get muddy. Road shoes fine if i's dry. Single lap and potential to be very fast. Nice refreshments at the end courtesy of Mrs Doyle.

Bit of off-road to mix things up and a lung busting hill.
Ade487 24th Jun 2019

Single lap, mostly on track. Quite muddy in places in winter and during wet spells. Very friendly. Short sharp hill and a bit of undulation between 1 and 1.5 miles, thereafter downhill or flat. Great post run cafe. Pavilion for changing and loos.

Can be rather muddy and slippery in places! Wear older trainers if its been raining!! Great atmosphere, toilets and free cafe (bring a small donation). Will be back.
Dragon_Reborn 24th Aug 2019

Single lap around Newbold Comyn. Rolling grass / trail. Summer / winter courses, slightly different, trail shoes advised in winter can be puddly. Short sharp hill at a mile, by 1.5 it’s all downhill. Pavilion for bags, toilets and tea and coffee.
ndellar 4th Jan 2020

A single lap starting and finishing on grass and the rest on good trails. One steep hill but worth it for the views. Free parking and toilets available at the start. Refreshments afterwards raise money for charity.
