connelld I expected no more than to fininsh today. Training was dreadful and I would've made do with a PW. However, conditions were great and I really liked the rolling route. Out and In course wasn't terrible either. Highly recommended if you want a good time and a great atmosphere. Well done to Kerry (2nd) and fellow Harriers, Keith (4th) and Scott (9th). With the lads (and Kate Todd) getting Vet prizes plus a 1st team for Keith, Scott and Myself, overall a brilliant day. Fae Fife What a day! Weather was bang on and felt good in the first half so really went for it. Really hurting in the last 1.2 miles but worth it for the time. Unaffiliated 3:28:48 3:28:48 3:33:33 3:28:48 65.82
Girvan Ruth Disaster. Had a cold, legs felt sore for first 6 miles, next 10 went okay and then it all went wrong. Started walking at mile 17 and then it was walk, run the rest of the way. Did complete but not the best run I have ever had. Girvan AAC 4:07:50 4:23:39 4:23:39 51.77

hannkies Got to be pleased with this. PB by over 8 minutes, 9th place overall, 1st Team, and sneaked a wee British Masters Silver medal in the v40 category. Kept my goals a bit low key but was hoping for around the 2.50 mark and although I cramped badly toward the end generally I felt quite comfortable throughout. Top marks to GoKeith ( 4th, big pb ) and Connell ( 1st Sub 3 ), and also to Kerry and everyone who ran. Great oncourse support from the Harriers and EyeSpy, Greig, Ian Goudie amongst many, and a brilliantly organised event. karinsmiles Wasn't really going for a time, spent the first 5 miles making sure I kept at a really comfortable (i.e. slow) pace, so still felt fresh at the turn. Met up with Hamish from Arbroath at about 16 miles and we ran together to the end and somehow shaved a few seconds off my PB without particularly trying. Yano Training has gone well and the plan is to run 7.50 pace for 3.25-ish but I'd bite the hand off anything under 3.30. Good luck to everyone! Post race update: couldn't have gone much better. First marathon negative split. PB demolished by 15mins :) Official result 100 out of 342. Pleased to get in top 30%. Unaffiliated 3:22:31 3:22:31 3:27:00 3:22:31 60.81
