skips765 First race. Very warm with a slight breeze. Flatish course with a good smooth surface. Good race for PB. Started well back in the pack so had to do a bit of weaving. This helped stop me going off too fast. Nevertheless, I was going a 9+mph for quite a while until I settled into a 8.5+mph pace. In hindsight, perhaps I could have gone a bit faster and I would have if I hadn't stopped to do a 'Usain Bolt' just before the finish line. Afterall, it is for fun!
