cehstone Fewer people in the race. Less atmosphere than last week. Set off steadily. An odd start from the midle of Kimberley but well organised and OK up the hill. Running much more within myself than last week, Not too many people coming passed me. Achilles tendon has been rested this week and is OK. Surface is better than last week, no ruts or places to trip. Slowly overtaking a few peopke but don't have a sense of when I can push it and still survive to keep going, A good place to run (train), plenty of tracks and quiet roads
Feel reasobly strong and know that this is the last hill, no-ones come past me for a few miles and that breathing at the back of my neck has ceased so I think I;ve seen them off. A couple of people within range so I push it up the hill and overtake, one more person in front, getting up to sprinting pace on the grass, 50 metres to go. We're both sprinting and I can't catch her.

Nicholls595 First 10k race. Been very busy since half marathon and only managed a few gentle runs by way of training. Felt strange being surrounded by Kimberley & District Striders 54:18 1:06:33 1:05:00 1:11:15 39.69

tom_craggs Now I have jogged this route...I can see this is quite a tough but fun 10k...**6th Place** pleased with result. Felt strong but did not run all out. Died up hill at mile 4-5 but oterhwise kept up wit the 35min 10k runners who finished 4th and 5th. Happy enough with time over a hilly off road course.
