Evesham Vale 10k

Entrants (17) Club PB SB Pred Time WAVA
*Anj* No PB today, but not surprised as haven't done any specific 10K training but it could have been worse. The weather was very warm and I felt dehydrated very quickly. Started off too quick (1st Km in 4.59) and I did take about 3 walk breaks, so considering that, not a bad time. Definate room for improvement Unaffiliated 52:52 52:52 55:55 54.12

Boingy Decent chance of a PB here I reckon. Trying for sub 42.*** Didn't quite manage sub 42, but did manage to create a new big lovely sweet-smelling 10K PB :-) Plus it was one of the nicest, friendliest, sunniest, and well organised races I have ever done. Big thanks to Evesham Vale for organising it. Leamington C & AC 37:01 42:06 41:59 42:06 63.54

Duke of Drayton Going to take this one easy and just enjoy the run - lot of driving before and after to cope with as well. So much for taking it easy! beat PB by 3 secs (time via Garmin - nothing on race site at time of writing. A great race well organised, with friendly marshalls and a lovely course. Good photos via Flikr however £7.50 to be emailed the photo file is a bit steep. Cambridge & Coleridge AC 39:22 46:40 52:00 46:40 57.92

Hanneke Will definitely be doing this now :-) and going for a PB on tired legs, see if I can run 3 PB's in a week :-)
WOW! Brilliant race, lovely course... was going really well, but after yeaterdays 13 miles and abt 5000ft on the fells, the legs protested a bit come 5km. Stupidly, I let them and dropped the pace to marathon racepace and did not realise until I entered the last km that if I would not have dropped the pace as much as that, I would have still just been inside a pb by a few seocnds :-( One lives and learns! I NEED TO RACE HARDER!!! Then again, this was my highest mileage week ever AND I have already run two decent PB's this week, one in the road, on on the fells :-) P.S. Garmin 10k time: 48.36...
