_andy Much quicker than I was expecting [19.4 miles on Garmin] but I felt quite gutted for quite some time after the race (it's like getting *only* an Olympic silver medal). Started the race deliberately at the very back of the field with most of the Fetch crowd and steadily pulled through the field. But after taking over 130 places, disaster struck on the descent from Dumyat when EXCRUCIATING cramp in my left calf left me screaming in the way that a grown man shouldn't. This cost me about ten places and lost me 79 minutes since I had to stop and collapse in a moaning heap several times on the descent as the traffic flashed past. Apart from that, what a great outing! Kinross Road Runners 3:26:20 3:31:04 3:31:04 42.02

Son of a Pronator Man Definition of stupidity - entering this race again :) But this year I 'aint getting lost . It's still gonna be a hard day at the running office. say Hello to Mr Pain* Update* I will blog more expansively later on but this was very hard going. Mr Pain was right beside me from the first climb. I'd like to say I kicked his ass but it's more like a draw. 20 minutes faster than last year is good but the last climb up Dumyat was completed on my hands and knees and I could only raise a very slow jog back to Stirling Uni. Looking forward to hearing how other Fetchies got on Edinburgh Athletic Club 4:54:00 4:54:00 4:30:00 4:54:00 32.25
WillBill Fairly pleased with my run to Dumyat - especially given the limited training I've managed to do in the last couple of weeks & the way I'd been feeling the day before. The middle section, from Kings Seat to Ben Ever, went past in a flash, though I needed a gel & a drink to revive me for the haul out to Blairdenon. Found some good lines off Blairdenon, got up Dumyat and things started to go awry. Had a little airborne adventure on the descent to the wood, and then lost the way at the back of the Univ, all of which cost me a few minutes but only one place, so not too bad. May be back next year. Fife AC 3:02:03 3:02:03 3:20:00 3:02:03 51.22
