Son of a Pronator Man My second time on this race. Fits in nicely with a visit to my parents who live nearby. Perfect. * Update* The race took me through thigh deep freezing water, I waded through and lost all feeling in my feet for about 5 minutes after I got out. The last time I was in water that deep I had scuba gear on. Well organised and marshalled - a shame I couldn't stay for the soup and sandwiches - they looked great. SueW Great race but not one you'd do for a PB. Maybe a course record but too much mud etc for pbs. Well my prediction was right - not a course for pbs! I ran about 3 minutes slower than last year. The winning time was a couple of minutes slower but I know others ran much faster than in 2007. Lots of mud and the very long muddy patch from last year and turned into an icy cold 40m+ pond to be waded through. It came several inches up my thighs! Good fun, good soup, well organised. My offical time seemes to be about a minutes slower than my own watch time. Guess which I'm going with! Carnegie Harriers 1:48:06 1:49:00 1:58:37 58.32
