Ally2 New PB first 6 k were windless and undulating, felt fine and back 4 included tough climb at 8k and dodgy km markings into strong headwind. Slowed in tougher 2nd 5 but overall pleased. 1k: 3:14, 3k 9:57, 5k 16:36 8k 26:06 (short!) 9k 30:56 (compensate short 8- 4:50km is warm up pace!). Came 5th overall. Firestarter Not the nicest of conditions today, a gusting wind and drizzling rain made the course more challenging than usual. It's also more hilly than I'd remembered and the last climb back out of Peckleton village was a bit of a Hermitage Harriers RC 38:24 39:03 39:57 71.36

Racin Snail should get another p.b here. Almost did it at Markfield(which is a much harder course by all accounts) 5 weeks ago since when i have done 5 hard track sessions and some quality training,and knocked almost 3.5 minutes off my 5 mile p.b! Feeling good. Super dooper:-) well pleased with that. Quite a testing course in some nasty headwinds in some places with a good long hill to test us at the end. Closest yet to JL and Boycie(and Ally2;-)) and my second sub 6 mmp race. 37th place but a better quality field than wolvey so still good. More to come too:-) Thanks again for the bets!
