Grey Badger Legs felt a bit weak but it was hot and very humid. We have all ways had a lovely day for this race and it remains one of my favourite routes. Came in 5th. Dip in the stream afterwards was pretty cold though. Northumberland Fell Runners 1:24:27 64.28
makizmo 82 An abosolute corker of tough race with hot conditions made for plenty of walking as well as running. The water station and shade at the end were life savers. Big thank you to Param & Alison for making it a brilliant day out. Heaton Harriers & AC 1:27:18 1:23:18 59.09
Running Beard This was very hard work today. I am not built to run terrain like this and certainly not in heat like today. Standing in the stream at the end was refreshing. Today it was a struggle to walk up the big long climb without resting (although managed that) but also had to walk on some of the smaller inclines as well which was disappointing. I reckon the distance of this to be 10.12 miles (16.29km) based upon my Anquet mapping software - which is shorter than listed on here - but it did feel longer today!! Elvet Striders 1:52:12 47.17
