Doctor K Pb in this one a tad optimistic I reckon. Not as flat as Southport so bet at your own risk. -result 51:24 -first half of race awful conditions, wind blowing, heavy rain in the face and bloody cold! After 3-4km or so conditions improved, ran fairly steadily and would like to say I enjoyed it but didn't really -well not the first 3km! julbags Going to try to beat my last years time of 52.11 for this race. Watch time, willupdate with official. Man that hurt! First section of the course was pretty much straight into the strong wind (and drizzle), was really pleased with myself for keeping up a decent paceof course I paid for that later! Last two miles were very hard,I don't remember it being quite so undulating last year. My lack of speedwork and longer road runs did show. Disappointed I didn't get closer to 50 but pleased I still got a new pb but know I've got it in me to go faster hopefully its given me the kick up the bum I need to put some work in. UPDATE: results time 51.25 so a smidge better. Unaffiliated 50:27 51:25 50:00 51:25 58.26
Marcus Another very enjoyable Wesham 10K - it's just a really good race! Had a pretty satisfying run and a reasonable slice off previous pb in the wet and windy conditions with an almost even split which is unusual for me on this course but perhaps goes to show that the headwind had an effect on the first half of the course!
