connelld This 10K (Probably closer to 9K) is a hard but enjoyable course. Ran London Marathon the week before and did a Endurance session the day before, so intended to just go an easy run. hannkies Did this as I'd people over from the States who wanted to do a race and I thought this would be a good scenic one. Definately was and I'd recommend it though its fairly tough. Finished 2nd of 200 which I was amazed with as I'd done a double session the previous day and had been out till the wee hours before the race. Yano This is a fun run but quite a tough course, especially on a very hot day! Beautiful surroundings in the grounds of Culzean Castle in Ayrshire. A fair bit of up and down and on different surfaces - tarmac, grass, trail. I took a couple of wrong turns in the woods as the field spread out. Note to self - wear Innov8s next year! It was billed as 6 miles but it definitely wasn't that long. Somewhere between 5 and 5.5 I think but can't be sure. I was 19th out of a field of 202 runners. The winner was home in 29 mins! I'd do it again - it only costs 4 quid and that gets you entry to the castle grounds for the day too. Unaffiliated 37:32 37:32 42:00 37:32 62.38
