Hoping to break 43 mins*Update* had a bad day, started too quickly, really suffered with my achillies from about 5k onwards. Conditions weren't the best, not as bad as they looked at first though.
Woooh!! PB by over a minute! What happened?!! A bit windy during the race, but the rain eased to a nice cooling drizzle. Set off too quick, but kept the later splits under 3.55ish. Very pleased. Spectator shouting out positions at 9k put me about 110th.
Not sure what to expect from this. I've done a lot of speedwork lately, so may be on for a PB, but I've a habit of making a mess of this race. *UPDATE* see, told you/ Went out too fast (15min for first 3k) and then lost it completely, struggling in in about 56mins. Really annoyed with myself. Was surprisingly warm too, even though it rained.
Sub 50 attempt.
Just hoping to knock a minute or two off the atlantic college earlier this year!
A good run and really pleased with my time.
Ran a good hard race - steady pace throughout found it hard from 6 k to finish. Left Hamstring did tighten up at about 6k (have had trouble with this for the last 2 weeks) but then seemed to ease off.
km splits 4:22, 4:21, 4:28, 4:35, 4:26, 4:32, 4:32, 4:35, 4:38, 4:26.
Well off target time - but still a pb for this season
Pleased with result - because after hamnstring strain I didn't know what would happen on the day.
Not my greatest run, ave HR 164 compared to 157 at Cardiff 10K so something was up.
Yet another sub 50 attempt... let's hope the wind stays away this time, I cannot bear this carving off of 2 seconds each time I run a 10k! Should easily be able to run sub 50! Oh, don't bet until I have confirmation of entry, as it could be full!**UPDATE** Got my number this morning, so let the betting begin! This really is sub 50 or bust! Waaaaahooooooo!!!!! 47.50!!! Slashed my pb by 3 mins 4 seconds and very happy! It hurt though, thought I was going to blow up and die on km 8 and 9 but then managed to pick up a tat again. Very well paced race if I say so myself, see training log for splits and the like
I've missed 4 weeks of running following a virus, so I expect to struggle here. *** My basic fitness was still there and I'm pleased that I had a half decent run.

Missed two weeks training, two weeks before race. Not fully prepared. In total, only 4 weeks training!!
A little disappointed but I was dressed as Batman and I'm blaming my performance on excess drag created by my cape. That's my excuse and i'm sticking to it.
My aim was 54-55 with pb at Westonbirt 10k in June of 56. Another pb on my favourite 10k.
Another sub-40 attempt - FAILED. Ran as Linda lol, so was a fast lady.
