Axial Tilt Must be mad to agree to do something so stupid as 25 miles over Ilkley (and Romblads)Moor in the depths of winter. As it was, the weather was perfect, the run was glorious, the supposed 25 miles turned out to be just shy of 22 miles (course consisted of checkpoints, you choose your route between them), organisation fantastic and value for money unbelievable (£8:50 for a race that had tea and cakes every 3 miles!) so we were left with nothing to complain about! Awesome day out on the moors. Unaffiliated 4:22:00 39.04
beders first time doing this navigational race, bit nervous as bullied 5 fellow fetchies to accompany me. Turned out glorious weather, didn't get lost, took it nice and steady with plenty of re-grouping so ended up feeling really good and a storming finish. Tea and cakes on the way round with pie peas and spuds after, all for £8.50 !!! already in diary for next year, fantastic alternative FLM warm up Great day with fetchie mates Ilkley Harriers AC 4:19:47 43.18
