B Rubble Was hoping for about a minute and a half faster but happy with a PB. Rain and wind didn't help. Will improve on this on next 10 miler. Dursley Running Club 1:05:18 1:08:16 1:09:22 65.70

Crash Hamster Felt really sick before the start, haven't been well for a few days; couldn't get HR above 160 and hold onto my breakfast for the first couple of miles...then it began to flow and I had a smashing run. Just missed out on sub 1:20 (watch time quoted) but think I'd have got it if I'd been able to start well. Still a big PB though :o)

Good to meet Sparky Mark and put a face to the name :o) Pirate Ship Of Fools 1:15:49 1:20:18 1:20:18 56.75
Impossible is Nothing Absolutely depressing. Felt very far from pre-injury fitness. The time reflects a shocking wind (to go with the rain) on the last 4 miles back but still not a good performance. Well-organised race I must say and the course was pretty good (a few little hills but basically flat). Result: 79 out of 266 Westbury Harriers 1:01:54 1:01:54 1:11:52 61.52
Iron Squishy Fetch will put this down as a PB, but unfortunately it isn't! I did this race a couple of years ago, pre Fetch, in 1:29:30, so I haven't PB'd today :-(

Didn't have too bad a run considering I'd had a bad tummy yesterday, and with my sore back/hip, which went at about 7 miles. I was aiming for a 1:45 so quite pleased with time, especially in those conditions.... it was a bit wild out there!!

Av HR 131 max 161, although I didn't stop my watch properly over the line so it carried on reading my HR while travelling home in the car, so perhaps not very accurate Doh!! Pirate Ship Of Fools 1:40:00 1:40:00 1:40:00 50.74
lungs aching enjoyed the race a lot. Did not matter that it was sometimes wet and windy, just dead pleased I took 5 mins off my target time of 1hr 30mins. Not too tired at the finish, maybe half marathons are not too far away. Had to laugh at the toilet facilities, went to the gents an hour before race time and there were 7 guys waiting to have a number 2 in the one and only sit down lavvie! what ws it like 15 mins before race time!
thought it was a bit boring that we were not allowed to were ipods/mp3's but I suppose it made sense. Almost Athletes 1:24:30 1:24:30 1:30:00 1:24:30 57.62
SparkyMark Training going really well and capable of sub-8 min/m. A couple of hills, so not sure what to expect there. However I am in better shape than at Maidenhead 2005. I'll be disappointed if I don't get a PB.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!! :-)

Thank you firstly to all the messages from fetchies that bet on me. Hope I have repaid you with a bundle of credits - me included :-) The messages mean more than the credits though - Thanks again.

The rain came down and made it a bit more interesting, though I still felt good about the race. Managed to see Crash Hamster and Squidgy and an old friend from RW. Sorry Tarange I did not manage to meet up.

Lined up for the start and commenced with the feedback from the megaphone - very weird!

Set off a bit quicker than planned just to give myself some space - 7:06 oooops. Settled down and ran through 3 miles in 21:53 (on for a 5k pb) 5 miles in 36:35 (another pb) headed then into the wind and rain and hills. Went through 8 miles in under an hour too.

I am chuffed to bits. A great course and race - Thanks to all who marshalled and to Gloucester AC for hosting. Tea and cake at the end hit the spot.

I still can't quite believe what I have done - Intervals ROCK! Alchester RC (Bicester) 1:12:09 1:12:09 1:16:00 1:13:51 61.24
