After a fallow period of about 10 years, I got back into running as a means of keeping fit without the expense and boredom of gyms.
Started running in earnest in 2007, have found I enjoy trail, cross-country and road running, in a group or on my own.
Achieved my aim to complete a marathon by the time I was 50 (still only 48) - where next? Probably at least one more marathon, then diversify into fells and stuff.
