Mile time trial, take 1

First attempt at the fetch virtual mile. I was very motivated after the run to the track felt really good, the hip was fine and running felt smooth. The plan was to run between 205-210 W and see if that yields a sub 6:45.

When I set off behind the human rocket Olivia, I got a bit carried away and saw 250 W after just 50 m. Oopsie, maybe I shouldn't run that fast. (Side note, Olivia​ nailed her time trial in 6:16! Amazing!)

I brought it down to 210 W while my HR was nicely cruising in Z4. After seeing 400m in 1:37 I was a bit concerned, not sure I could maintain this. 600 m in, it suddenly started feeling so much harder. When I tried to push harder to keep the effort up, my HR just sat there at my threshold and I couldn't get it any higher. So I died a slow death at threshold, dropping to 7 m/m, then even 7:15 my 10k pace and that felt surprisingly hard. That was almost insulting so I rallied in the final lap at 7:09 pace, feeling a bit nauseous at 1400m but I kept going. I ran a bit over the mile just to be sure. According to the fetch benchmark, I got 6:57. Not bad for a run with the hand breaks on. It just wasn't my day.
