So Physio said I can't run. It's aggravating the nerve and that's why it's not settling down and right leg pain and puffy feeling etc. So I can only do elliptical, swim or bike but not too long. Didn't really get into how long. Did 30 mins bike on Fri and meant to do 40 or 45 mins today on elliptical. Brought headphones so that I could watch something or listen to something. And lucky me the six nations women's rugby was on. England beat Wales yesterday by a big margin, so I picked it up 15 mins in! So 65 mins plus stoppages = a 70 min elliptical! Started about level 6, but that was only 80 watts, so upped it gradually to 10, more like 120 watts or something. And I saw HR up to 150, but not sure if that was accurate. Said 144 ave, but anyway, I sweated a bit, breathed a bit, worked legs a bit and heart a bit and thought of Fionna R. If she can come back from slipped disc to her level by doing lots of elliptical then what's good enough for a Scotland and GB rep is good enough for this old duffer. Then did some more gym - just foam roller, leg stretches, sit ups, plank, side planks, wobble board shoulder raises and bicep curls, chest press machine, lat pull down, tricep push down, achilles heel drops. Then sauna and jacuzzi. Didn't need to swim, done enough cardio. Home to watch France Scotland. Good game, good Scottish performance, but just not quite good enough.
