Bike:

Oh my God!!!! So much fun:-) I can't think of a better way to spend 2 hours 30 minutes and 37 seconds (those 37 seconds mean I didn't manage 36kph... but pretty close!!!)

The first lap was all good - I was overtaken by one elite male and one elite female (on their second lap) but nobody else overtook me for the entire ride:-)

The second lap was tougher as it was getting hotter and it took a bit out of me, but I was loving the new bike and racing wheels and it was just awesome.

3) 5km - 8:14(1:39/km) 269cal

4) 5km - 7:51(1:34/km) 259cal

5) 5km - 8:12(1:38/km) 328cal
6) 5km - 8:11(1:38/km) 280cal
7) 5km - 8:39(1:44/km) 313cal
8) 5km - 8:44(1:45/km) 296cal
9) 5km - 8:11(1:38/km) 283cal
10) 5km - 8:08(1:38/km) 297cal
11) 5km - 7:59(1:36/km) 281cal

Interesting to compare the two laps. Clearly I was quicker on lap 1! No negative split for me!!! The drop wasn't that big, but noticeable in every single 5km split!

12) 5km - 8:25(1:41/km) 280cal
13) 5km - 8:27(1:41/km) 282cal
14) 5km - 8:21(1:40/km) 291cal
15) 5km - 8:25(1:41/km) 310cal
16) 5km - 8:42(1:44/km) 300cal
17) 5km - 9:00(1:48/km) 281cal
18) 5km - 8:27(1:41/km) 297cal
19) 5km - 8:24(1:41/km) 280cal

Amazing 22.5 mph. Glad the new bike was a success. You rocketed through the field. Amazing.

Cheers Si. It does sound quite fast and clearly there were a lot of people I went past on the bike! It just makes me want to work on it more and try and go even faster!
