Route description
The race follows a flat, fully marshalled course, with a few short inclines. The route will take in many of the beautiful country lanes surrounding the village. Roads through Marden will be temporarily closed for the start of the race. A water station will be provided at the half-way mark and at the finish line. We may add an additional water station on the course, in the event of hot weather.

The Russet Runners Marden 10k is an accurately measured course, and holds a licence from Run Britain and England Athletics.

We do not charge any transaction fees

Finisher's medal
All participants will receive a finisher's medal. For reasons of sustainability, our medals will be made of wood. Please note, our free finisher's t-shirt offer closed on Sunday 12th May due to manufacturing deadlines. Subject to availability, some t-shirts may be available on the day. 

Prizes (male and female)
1st place - £100, 2nd place - £50, 3rd place - £25

In addition, the first finisher in both male and female categories will receive a £50 voucher, generously donated by The Running Hub in Southborough. We are very grateful for their support!

Event village
Refreshment stands serving food and drink will be available at Race HQ (Marden Cricket & Hockey Club). There will be a licenced bar, as well as stalls from local businesses. 

Additional information
The race may be entered in male, female and non-binary/other categories. However, prizes will be awarded in male and female categories only, in compliance with England Athletics guidance. 

Under England Athletics rules, the minimum age for this race is 15 years on the day.

Headphones are not permitted at this event. Under England Athletics rules, bone conductor headphones are allowed.

Please note that entries are non-refundable. In the case of injury, pregnancy or illness, the event organiser may defer your entry to a future year.
