Ocean spirit have you tried hand expressing to help? I needed to do this a few times. It helps to allevaie the fullness which when your boobs are really full they are very round and hard for baby to latch onto the nipple properly

I was quite a few weeks but I had a section and had had quite a break from running during pregnancy. I think it must have been about 4 months . physically i was ready to run sooner but it was hard fitting in the time round breastfeeding and three little ones. then I started very gradually and it wasn't until about 7 months I was able to regularly get out 3x a week

Hello ladies, is everyone doing OK? Have you had your booking appointments yet Lambkin & Chopples?

I've got my 20 week scan on Thursday and yesterday I acquired my first lot of baby stuff. A friend was having a clear out and mentioned she had a moses basket and 'some bits' that I could have. She dropped them round and the 'bits' were a car seat, a bath, a massive box of toys and blankets and goodness knows what else!

I think looking at all that stuff in my house was the first realisation that I'm actually going to have an actual baby at the end of this. Up until now all the symptoms and scans and stuff have just confirmed that I'm pregnant rather than I'm having a baby (that sounds a bit mad but it makes sense to me)

Annoyingly I seem to be developing baby brain, something that I was sure was made up. I can't remember words for anything!

Hi Battlecat! Nice to hear an update from you. 20 weeks - almost halfway! :-) Are you still feeling good? I don't think that sounds mad, about the realisation that actually all of this pregnancy stuff means a real baby at the end of it! I haven't got to that stage yet at all, still doesn't feel real to me. Are you planning to find out the sex of the baby at the 20 week scan?

I haven't had my booking appointment yet, I'm 10 weeks on Wednesday and have my appointment at 11+2 so still a little while to wait yet. I've been feeling a bit sick on and off, food cravings (and aversions!) are all over the place, still getting days where all I can think about is sleep...but otherwise I'm okay!

Not going to find out (unless I change my mind on the day). I think I need a little surprise to keep me going to the end!
I'm mostly OK. Some days I don't want to get off the sofa (like yesterday) and watching Dumbo yesterday was a BIG mistake, more than an entire box of tissues were used! But most days I feel normal. I don't even feel fat today! Hurray:-)

I think my booking appointment was early - about 8 or 9 weeks. It meant a bit of a wait to the scan though. I think I'm glad I didn't realise/was in severe denial for most of the 12 weeks, it would have felt like a long drag otherwise.

What are you craving? I've just got a hell of a sweet tooth. I'm loving chocolate milkshake at the moment, something I've hardly ever had before in my life!

Battlecat, I was exactly the same. After about 16 weeks I kind of got my head round the idea that I was pregnant and was ok with the thought of labour. I'm not sure I realised about the actually having a baby in my life bit until she arrived.

Total Beginner - I now express milk every day as my daughter doesn't always feed that well or feed enough so I need to get the milk out. Though it's goo for when I am out and about. I can have the milk and have it last 6 hours rather than worrying about the powder formula or opening an ready-made formula and it only last 1-2 hours. Especially as my little one only has 2-3 ounces at a time. She is a "little and often" feeder. No way I could get her to drink 6-7 ounces like I've seen other babies her age do.

As for exercising, I am starting with the walking to strengthen the muscles again. I had a lovely walk on Saturday and another one today. And my legs feel really good and my back seems to be holding out. As long as I don't stand in one place for too long.

Lovely to hear from you all. Battlecat - good news on the freebies! I really don't see the point in bbuying new stuff.

I have had my booking appointment which was fine. I see the consultant next Tuesday and have my scan on April 16th. My midwife has also booked me in to do regular heartbeat checks, just for my piece of mind. So it's all go.

Sorry you have to wait Chopples. Have you got your scan date yet? It feels like ages away yet, even though we are virtually 10 weeks!

Halfway there today and just back from my 20 week scan.
Everything is fine and measuring just under average (I'm only small and OH is about average size so that sounds about right to me)

It took them a while to get a clear shot and some of the measurements because it was wriggling about so much. We saw a few sits ups and stretches and reverse curls with a bit of a bicycle kick. You could also clearly see it drinking and gulping and then it made one massive punch upwards. I didn't even feel that so goodness knows what it's up to when I can feel squirms and kicks!
