Glad to hear I'm not the only one Krissie! I was beginning to think I was being subconsciously greedy :-) And I've definitely developed a much sweeter tooth than I used to have. I'm trying to stave it off by eating mountains of fruit but it's hard coming up to Easter!

I can't stop eating and I'm too tired to exercise but I'm sure it will get easier. Chopples I am also eight weeks tomorrow! I hadn't realised we have the same due date. I don't have a date for my scan yet - the midwife sent off a request yesterday. The good thing about having your first midwife appointment a bit later is that you might get to hear the heartbeat.

Battle at I'm very iimpressed with all the running! I'm planning to start swimming just as soon as I am fat enough for my maternity cossie. My pre pregnancy cossie no longer fits :(

I've got a couple where the lycra has started to go but they're not see through yet so they still have a few more weeks wear in them. I wore my good one on Sunday - that was on the tight side!

Interesting to read the boob chat. I think I need to get him off boob, he's one now and wakes as much as a newborn. I think it's just comfort. Like Krissie he tries to eat my top and when I come home from work he's yanking at the neck of my dress.

I gave him a bottle and I watched his wee hands go up and down the bottle and thought 'that's how he kind of strokes me when I feed him' (that sounds creepy but it's not), anyway I felt a bit sad. I tend to feed when I come in or delay to bedtime if I can and then through the night. Like Jude I had a hellish, hellish time at the start and I think i am frightened of that. Because the thrush/mastitis was as bad as bloody labour pains at times. :-o Hard to believe now. That child could find my boob in a darkened cave now. LOL. So funny having not fed no. 1. Totally different experiences.

Question for anyone already back exercising and running: I am really looking forward to getting back to my exercising but am having back issues as a result of the three epidural attempts and spinal block. When did you start back exercising after giving birth.

I'm also going to finally call the doctor to see if they can refer me to someone or give any advice on how to get my back better. Maybe it has to do with just strengthening my back muscles again?

I also like the discussion on breastfeeding. I get such a happy feeling when my daughter is on the breast. But she has her moments every day when she just will not go onto the breast. Normally when she is very tired and fussy.

I also find it amusing that she physically can't latch on when both breasts are literally full to bursting. But at least when she won't go on the breast she will gladly take a bottle of breast milk.

Well my wee one is now one but I'd say you will know when you feel okay to run, think I was 3/4 weeks. I can't really remember, I had a quick and straightforward labour both times.

Lol KP. Yep we still have newborn waking here. It's tough. Usually a feed at 11, 1 and then from 4 onwards he's trying to wake up and it's in our bed and feed every 30 minutes to try and keep him asleep until 6 ish. I'm trying to work on the falling asleep without feeding to sleep at the moment in the hope that once mastered, when he wakes in the night he will then be able to settle himself down. Nursery are still having to rock him to sleep in the day in the pushchair and want to start trying to get him to fall asleep in a cot from next week.
