I'm a big believer in trusting your instincts Battle at. Sounds very sensible.

Very excited for when you unveil your identity Chopples!

Do either of you have children already? Our son who died was our first. Really hope I get to unpack all the baby stuff I bought....

This is my first. And is a first grandchild on my side. OH's sister has 2 children but both adopted at around age 2 so the first baby on is side too.

I haven't even thought about buying anything yet. I'll probably stay true to form and do everything last minute. I go past a mothercare on my way to the hospital!

That's lovely Battle at nice to be having the first grandchild. I bought all second hand stuff for Maxwell - started buying stuff at about 24 weeks. It was the saddest thing having to pack it all away I can't wait to get it out again.

Beginner iI am on baby centre but taking a back seat after getting a bit obsessed whilst TTC (see blog).

Hello Chopples, Congrats!!! I ran through both my pregnancies. I was low risk. Despite falling at 7 weeks preggy in the hills and having what was left of my knee sewn together my Drs all said to keep running. In fact they said that at 7 weeks he/she was low in the pelvis and was fine. You really must do what you think suits you for as long/as little as suits you. I ran till 33/35 weeks, it worked for me. Happy to talk on fmail. Main thing is keep the HR low and don't overheat. x

Now that I think about it, when I hurt my knee I had to stop for a few weeks and I found that not running and being pregnant made me v constipated and the nurse who took my stitches out told me to get running and get it all moving again. I did 17 miles on the WHW at about 12 weeks, 10km at 5 months and I'm sure SMout ran a marathon early on in hers (altho slowly for her)

so exciting! new bumps! congrats, ladies. lovely news.

re running, i was high risk and on bed rest from 7-14w and therefore picking up exercise after that wouldn't have been sensible. but i know lots of people who have comfortably run til late preg. but the key bit is 'comfortable'. keep heart rate down and don't overheat and stay hydrated.

having said that, my neighbout is preg with her second and she was unable to run with eithe pregnancy from very early as her breathing was all shot to bits and she struggled. so i guess it is just go with what feels right for you.
