OS we hid it from our new landlord until we were in for a few months, as we really needed somewhere new at short notice and was worried they wouldn't take us in. When we did tell him he was absolutely wonderful about the whole situation!!

It can definitely affect loan applications as they ask for current salary details to ensure you can meet repayments, however you could technically get away with it by not declaring your pregnancy. You generally can't once your pregnant if only receiving smp and not entering into it with your partner/husband!!

Hi, please can I join? Have been lurking a while... Due Feb 19th! :) so decided it was time to be brave and say hi! Still running, though not as much, as far or as fast! I'm a bit bored of telling concerned people that it's still ok to run!

Well I have more drama in my life....like I needed any more....

We've got the keys to the house and are slowly moving boxes in. Well my OH is moving the boxes in I am moving my sewing stuff and stuffed animals in.

But my NEW drama is: I have a funeral to go to in Cornfield, USA Iowa this coming Saturday. Woo. Nothing is wrong with me. I have a very uncomplicated pregnancy...well at least physically. I have time off from work if I go. I have the letter from the doctor saying I am fit. Now I just need to call the airline I intend to fly with, get some hormonal crying going to get the bereavement rates and then decide if I leave on a 9 hour flight on Thursday and return Monday.

Why can't life be simpler?!?!?!?!?

Oh OS - that's just pants :(

If you don't go , people will understand. Are you going for you, or for other people - sorry, I don't think I've worded that very well, but what I'm getting at is that if you need to go, then go. If you are going because it's expected, then think twice. Obviously I don't know who has died, and I hope that doesn't sound too insensitive. I just understand that you have had a LOT of stress with the house, and it's getting to the time when you want to start taking it a bit easier.

Thanks ladies. I would be going for myself...there are a lot of issues with the extended family that I am trying to overcome and reconnect with the family. I had a counselling appointment this morning and on my way there I had a hormonal cry that if everything was ok with me physically and there were no barriers in the way, that I would regret not going. If someone told me for my health I couldn't go then I would heed that advice, but of the few websites and people I have spoken to I should be ok as long as I have compression socks, get up and walk around, drink plenty of juices and water and don't sit for too long. And my pregnancy has been, so far, knocking on lots of wood, free of complications.

Plus my OH won't be coming with me s it will give me a chance to give him a list of things that need to be done and somehow trust they will get done. (I have trust issues which I am working on.)

Now I just have to work out the logistics of getting to Iowa from Chicago with the family I know I have making their way out west. And then back again.....
