Congratulations cloggy. Sorry about the bad experiences. I hope you are recovering well and have lots of support.

Mrs V - I'm on the prunes too, without iron tablets. I pushed out some haemorrhoids while trying to push Ollie out. Does anyone know if they go away, and how long it takes? Im frantically doing my pelvic fl

I had one (I didn't have a clue what it was I had to ask a midwife as she was checking my stitches). It disappeared after about 2 weeks. I have been doing pelvic floor exercises like no tomorrow too. I had a third degree tear and they scare you by telling you you may be doubly incontinent. That's quite an incentive.

How are you recovering otherwise insomniac?

Mine never went I'm afraid and having pushed out 3 reluctant children I don't think I look that attractive :-( but I see it as a fairly small price to pay and my gp said they wouldn't operate or do anything anyway...sometimes they don't bother me just prevent me from wearing thongs lol, other times there is blood and it's not very nice....

I've been having my first annoyance associated with sleep. It seems that if I sleep on my right hand side or even sometimes on my back that something happens in my right arm (probably a trapped nerve) where when I try to make a fist it really really hurts and I can't do it. It gets better as the day proceeds, but I have power in my hand to make a fist when I wake up.

But I can put my fingers together with my thumb with little pain. Though my right arm stays a little numb throughout the day.

Is there anything I can do about this other than doing my best to no sleep on my right hand side?

I had it when I was preg with Jemima but not this time. Was always worst first thing on a morning iirc.

I had that in both pregnancies, it helped if I went to sleep with my hands unclasped and kept flat...

I had it in both too. Grip was really weak at worse and struggled to open jars and drive. Laying on either side made it worse so I slept on back propped up with lots of pillows.

It sounds like carpal tunnel to me too ocean spirit. I know that wearing a wrist splint at night often helps, you can get them from the pharmacy.

Im doing fairly well Tiggia - the nipple pain has mostly gone and the cracks healed with 24 hrs of using nipple shields during his week 1 growth spurt, then LOTS of lasinoh cream before & after every feed.

Im taking Ollie to a friends wedding this afternoon - just a low key local event, but my challenge is to make myself look respectable for the first time in ages - how do you put makeup on ???
