Like mummyV says, you never have to justify your feeding choices. Neither is "better" or "more natural", they're just different. And having had solely breast and formula fed babies I can say there's no difference in how they turn out Except that I did get more sleep with the bottle fed one

Thanks ladies. I bottle fed no 1. I just find it hard not to feed no 2. I feel I should and when it's not sore I enjoy it. I just wish it wasn't so exhausting and/or he slept longer.

Since you're talking about breastfeeding and bottle feeding: I was with some friends who have babies over the weekend and discussed weaning onto foods (puree then more onto solids.) When did you all start the weaning? And I'm getting excited: I'm going shopping for clothes. I found some nice cheap dresses on asos Now just to find cheapish work trousers. |

We tried the wee man on baby rice the other day as he's just not settled and showing a huge interest in food. Absolutely none went down but he was loving the spoon. I have my weaning workshop next week. Lol. Wee man is 22/23? Weeks.

BLW light at 5 months and 6.5 months (they were ready at different times) By BLW light I mean that we didn't do purees, but when we were having food that required a spoon, I loaded the spoon and gave it to baby. 'Proper' BLW says you shouldn't do that. I am a strong advocate of BLW - it has worked brilliantly for us and my two eat pretty much anything. However, I know others who have tried it and not got on with it, my suspicion is that was more to do with the mums not being in control that the children not coping. Also, you don't have to pick one over the other |
