My first one with Edith did nothing, the second one was about 48 hours before labour started so I don't know if that was a success or not, I didn't obviously get that far with the boys!

feel quite saddened by the childminder stories on here, they should be more flexible than a nursery and fair in their pricing. I work on an hourly rate (and invoice the parents monthly) and never charge for any hours when the child isn't with me. I guess it's regional, where I am there is plenty of choice and plenty of different approaches

My childminder was wonderful for a long time. Cedd felt truly loved there. Sadly she had some difficulties and we didn't communicate well about them and now we barely speak. I'm still (2 years on) very sad that cedd can't/doesn't visit and has "lost" the link with that part of his life. She was great with Cuthbert in many ways but they didn't have the same bond. |
