Two weeks isn't long.

I'd certainly wait until after Easter, probably until after May bank holiday, before doing anything.

FWIW, I'm just selling a house, and after 4 wks (10 views, 2 offers) accepted an offer of 5% below asking price.

When I sold the house in Leicestershire, it went on the market at the beginning of October and by the end of January I hadn't had a single viewing (a couple of appointments that people didn't turn up for). The agent rang me to talk about taking it off the market, dropping the price and remarketing it...that very day a woman rang to make an appointment and made a good offer the day after she viewed it.

Phook's advice about Easter is very wise.

In Bristol two weeks is ages. When I try to view in the part of the city I want to move to, everything's gone! Decent places go the first day they're on Rightmove or they've gone already. You have to be ready to run out of the door, view and be the first to say "I'll take it". I kid you not.

I think maybe because I'm close to the outskirts, this area's not so desirable. 5 viewings so far and not one offer.

There's an element of 'right house for right buyer at right time' isn't there. I bought mine because it had a good feel. It ticked most of the boxes but just felt right. It needed/needs decorated throughout as everything is pretty grubby. I am working through it all. I probably would have wanted to put my own stamp on it anyway. Surely as long as the price reflects the work required...

Yeah - know what you mean HP. I loved the vibe when I bought this flat. It was easily the nicest one I looked at in my price bracket.

I may have to drop £5K to compensate for lack of central heating. I obtained quotes for getting it done and they varied wildly.

No action, house or otherwise really. A couple had a look, they're going to contact their builder friend about some potential works and might come back with an offer.

I haven't met any potential love interest for a while. I've been so busy working and messing around with the flat.

I also think troubled man has caused me to wonder if people aren't who they seem and the effects are still with me. I've completely lost interest in blokes in that way.

I think relationships can do that to you RS. I sometimes feel the same after the last couple of GF's I've been with.

I suppose it just getting into these things, for them then to go wrong.

Hope I haven't become a troubled man..

i had a dalliance the other week.... someone i met online about a year or so ago.. Very hot n cold, so it fizzled out after a couple weeks then. we have kept in touch via facebook but purely as friends-ish.

He's since moved away but comes to Aberdeen sometimes to sing in his band. I was out with work and drinks were on board, so it seemed like a good idea to go see the band. One thing led to another and i was little more than a groupie, hahaha!

Scratched an itch.

He said he'd like to date, but by the time the next weekend came along he'd blown hot n cold again and i said thanks for a lovely (ish) night, but no thanks.

some things just aren't meant to be.

However, it did distract me from calling/texting shitforbrains which is possibly would have happened!!!
