Oh bums HP. What Duchess said, isn't Scittish system supposed to prevent that?

It's interesting because everyone I have spoken to has said they thought verbal acceptance was binding.....except my solicitor. Now do I spend the next few days looking at half packed boxes and hope something else comes up soon or waste more of my holidays unpacking. Right now the answer is make a cup of tea and watch GBBO in bed.

Hi all. I need mouse advice and I'm sure we have spoken about it on here before. Previously we had an infestation in the shed and attic. Last night we came home and their was a mouse in QP's room. I stuck a couple of traps in there but caught nothing over night. Last time landlord put bait in the attic but I don't know where the little bleeders are coming from this time. Thoughts?

And I am allergic to cats so that is a NO!

I have found chocolate or peanut butter to be a successful bait on traps. I'd tell the landlord again though.

Peanut butter is an excellent bait in the absence of mouse-catching felines.

You're probably as well putting traps all over (I've had rodents in the cavities of a house before and prone to popping out everywhere). Try food locations and bathrooms especially.

Most recent cats I've known would be utterly useless as mousers

Another vore for peanut butter! I knew where they entered the house, so I'd put the trap in front of the crack and bingo!

At work it was harder, as they were all over. In the end we resorted to traps like these: screwfix.com

Pre baited and they really worked attracted mice wherever you put them, while the others only worked when on their regular path.

My cat is an excellent mouser! She was outisde for the whole of 5 minutes the other day and caught two! I don't have them in the house any more since I have had her... she caught to in quick succession as a kitten, then a one off the other day, in the night... I heard kerfuffle but didn't realise until the morning she was chasing a live mouse and not playing, as I found the dead mouse in front of the bathroom door.

The landlord used what he called bait but I think it is essentially poison. So it is attractive to mice who eat in then crawl off somewhere and die. I now have 4 traps and I think there is another in the shed somewhere. They will be dotted around the house along skirting boards as this is their usual route apparently. Peanut butter is what I used last night. Maybe they will have been drawn out during the day whilst we are out.
