I am pretty practical I think. I used my fathers drill to hang bookshelves, as he had no time for it, when I was about 9 ad it developed from there. I can service, repair and build my own bikes, do basic stuff like maintenance on mower, chainsaw and car, can build Ikea flatpack stuff like a pro, build sheds, gardens, do basic plumbing and electrics. Good at decorating. You have to if you are living on your own. No-one else is going to do it for me!

Spent my weekend helping my friends with their new business unit. Up on the roof and then painting. Now I live in a rented property all my DIY is for friends or my Mum.

I have just finished painting my daughter's bedroom and the bathroom. After 25 years of being my late husband's apprentice it would appear that I have learned a thing or two. Very proud of myself...
