The Jogger
Okay, so today I did my cycle up to the gym 2.2m with Mrs J so a very leisurely pace, which she prefers. I was hungry as we were starting the warm up and I even mentioned it to her. All I had for breakfast was two boiled eggs and a coffee but bear in mind I use to fast before doing the gym. I then went to do my free weights routine, it starts with laying on the bench, feet on bottom of a flat bench and a 16kg dumbbell in each hand , which I then raise both up and down above my chest for 45 secs. As I was doing the exercise I immediately felt a bit dizzy or light headed and especially when I sprung up after finishing, I also had a bit of a cold sweat around my shoulders and neck. I then proceeded onto my next exercise, which involves laying on the floor, feet together and lifting my legs over and back one of the dumbbells without touching the floor for 45 secs but half way through I felt crap so I stopped, gathered my stuff and decided to just do the treadmill. I did 40 mins walking, with an average gradient of 11.5 and up to 15 max with an average pace of 6.5 kph average heart rate of 125 and at the end the result the machine gave me was athletic training or something but it was a good result and it's based on my stats and HR I then cycled home but via the cafe for a coffee and scone. Just in case it was low sugar or similar.

So do you think this is something to worry about or should I mention it to my doc on my next visit, which might not be for some time. I was thinking I'm due back to the gym Sunday, so I might have a bowl of porridge before I go just in case it was low sugar? Sorry about it being a bit long winded.

Low blood pressure?

(Just to confirm, you did your (brisk) walking at gradients of 11.5 to 15%? Wow :-o.)

If it's not low bp or dehydration then maybe one of the doctors can give you some advice.
