I love PGW - started reading his books early high school, just the ones on the shelf at home, but after A'levels I took a short course and used to nip out every lunchtime to buy a new one - quick reads. There's some repetition: I have a feeling that if he thought of a good line or situation he'd put it in a notebook somewhere and occasionally forget to mark it as used! Definitely one of the joys of existence.

Godammit just finished ragtime which is advertised as being published 1975 to discover in fact it's 1974. Curses. Enjoyed it though

Forfeit arrived today courtesy of BaronessBL, so much speedier than my library ;-)

I also got Flashman in the same delivery which has a scarily un-PC cover :-O I probably won't be reading this one on the tube!
