Slightly struggling with my 1965 Stanislaw Lem - it's a bit bonkers. Like The Little Prince rewritten by Isaac Asimov.

For 68 I've got Gore Vidal's Myra Breckinridge. There might not be a copy in the Bintshoppe currently as I bought the last one the other day ;-)

I've gone with Samuel R Delany's Babel-17 for 1966. I suspect it may be like Isaac Asimov rewritten by the Little Prince. Never read any Delany, and am intrigued by it apparently being largely about the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis.

First couple of pages read like Iain M Banks without the optimism.

I'm currently reading my 2005 book, I really must make a proper list though.

It also has the sequel, Myron - a very strange book - with it so I can use that possibly as my 1973 book.

Finished 2015 book, Edge of Eternity. I started before the challenge but it has 1100 odd pages so I reckon even half should count! I enjoyed the trilogy, I don't usually read historial novels. Now on to Tinker Tailor etc. Not starting how I thought but at a mere 480 pages I'll manage!

I'm going for Forfeit by Dick Francis for my '68 book. Just need to reserve it from the library.

I've decided that Flann O'Brien has created a new literary genre - Irish Magical Realism. It's an acquired taste ;-)

I read Forfeit as my 1968 book LN. I enjoyed it although I had read it before and of the ones of his I've read so far in this challenge (I am doing all of his books from 1965 onwards) I have enjoyed others more, but that's because some of them I hadn't read before. When I have got through the lot of them I think it has a good chance of being in my top ten (yes I am sad enough that I am going to do a top ten of the 52 books I'll be reading for this) :-)

BTW if you can't reserve it from the library for any reason LN I'll send you my copy if you want? A while back in the book group another Fetchie sent me a copy of the book that was that particular month's read so I feel I should also pass on a book to a Fetchie in return.
