Well Coach Alan is still in hospital - not sure how long for but he has been told he can't drive for 4 weeks, and (needless to say), no running for the same length of time

Oh no I've missed what's happened to coach Alan too AL? I *can* reveal two pieces of good news in the Daisy family. Some months ago a routine eye test suggested something very worrying for son 1. His hospital appointment was cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled for today (over 2 months later!!) Anyway the excellent news is that all is clear and possibly the equipment (which found repeat scary results) was actually faulty! You csn imagine out relief. Secondly, son2 has been promoted at work It's so good to have some good news after a trying week or two! Oh and I did 10 squats - you should have heard my joints creak!

I can't remember now if I put it on here or in my blog - Alan finished, but had a bad patch at mile 24, kept going but pretty much collapsed at the end - his heart rate plummeted to 24 so they sent him to St Thomas' - he's still there this morning but sitting up and looking ok (all things considered).

Oh that's super news LD for both sons! Congrats on the promotion son2  and hooray the equipment was faulty - just a shame you had that worry.
