well I met the people at the charity I will be running the GNR for.......fantastic bunch and the other five runners seem decent sorts, they've done photos and organised a local press release!!..........the downside to the day being the twatty left hamstring I have!!! went for a very short lunchtime jog and its still pulling......stopped immediately and I think its a bit of cross training for me for a couple of weeks............frustrating......ahhhhh

Got home, had a sandwich and a coffee, did some jobs. My foot is hurting. Sharktopus is sprawled out on the sofa next to me.

Ran errands. We need a "blowy as f@#k" option on the wind strength.

Now eating a salad before trying again to get the boiler to fire. It's freezing in here.

Ran at lunch. Weather perfect, Thames lovely. Me rather tired. In two minds about track later - wasted session if no energy / sore legs but rest day planned tomorrow so last push?

Ha, PB's are not on the agenda. If they happen they happen. This year for me is all about consistency and running injury free and completing my 5 'A' races (SDW100 and 4 x 50 mile ultras).

My current high mileage is due to my 24 week training plan for the SDW100 in June. This is week 2.

Has Dio drugged sharktopus??

Not run due to specific onset CBA at 5.30am when I would have had to get up. Spin then climbing this evening, assuming non-recurrence of CBAness.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
