Hello Dr TD. If there isn't yet, there will be. What's the protocol on this? Whoever thinks of it first and knows how to set it up, does it?

I know how to start a thread. I don't know how to link to the spreadsheet, which seems to me to be a crucial step in the proceedings.

Oh... Have been googling. I started looking at slimming world and was quite tempted until I looked at all the things they recommend you sub with which are full of sweeteners etc and all the 0% fat this which tend to add sugar to add taste. bleugh.
So then I started looking at low carb. Which is generally seen as better and more stick able too except on the NHS site they are pro low fat. Also how low carb is enough.
I think I will go back to what has worked before (see blog) and not Google again it's all too much!

Hark the Helegant Angels Sing
I am working SW right now and I'm not substituing with sweeteners. It's one of the things I don't agree with. I also don't eat their ready-meals or HiFi bars etc.

The reason I chose SW is that I can eat as much veg (and most fruit) as I like without having to measure or weigh. Also, as a mostly-vegetarian, it's quite an easy diet to implement.

I'm not sure that there is a 'perfect' diet for any of us as we're all different, and if you find something that works, go for it.

I'm eating around 20-25% carbs a day, TM, if that helps. Over the years, I discovered that you have to do what works best for you and fits in with your lifestyle.

Cuddy
I don't count, I don't track anything food related. I'm largely sticking to the principles of the low blood sugar diet, three meals, no snacks, and I find it's working for me. I find counting anything exhausting. So most commonly I have apple and nut butter for breakfast, soup or salad with protein for lunch and grilled chicken or fish with steamed veg for dinner. Occasionally some cheese after dinner. The key for me was to find a way to not to count as I detest it so much! :-O

Merry LG
Went to fat club tonight (SW) and put on 1.5lb which is still under by 0.5 what I'm allowed to be before I need to look at my target again, think its down to my increased mileage this month. Will see if it settles in the NY
