Haggis - thanks. I'm not worried, but the owners don't like it even when I say "It's fine". I'm a pro dog walker who knows a lot of hounds so I'm used to dogs I know showing their enthusiasm. I think they think she'll do it with everyone, but I think it's just her select few 'targets'. :)

The other thing about our viz is that he really bonds strongly with certain people - Tuss loves the stand-in barman at the Swan ("Uncle Phil"), our friend Richard, KCAC secretary Brett and Stef's dad as examples. They get extra fuss from him and a particularly waggy tail heart

Really sorry to read your news, TR. I know how horrible it is to make that decision, but you know you've done the kindest thing for Honey.

Many thanks for all your comments. It was the first time I'd had to make that decision and I found it a massive responsibility, but stepping back from the emotion of it at the time I'm happy that it was the right decision for Honey.
I know some people will think it is very soon, but the house was incomplete without a dog, and there are so many dogs needing homes. So after scattering Honey's ashes at her favourite walk site on Friday, yesterday we went to the South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue centre and have now taken in Ollie, a five year old black and white Springer. Early days but he's shaping up to be a super dog.

A lovely looking hound. We took Cookie and Phoebe out for a 20 mile run/walk today. We have tired dogs 😀

We're missing our Tuss. He's in Yorkshire staying with friends (and 3 other vizslas) and we're in Devon :-(

I've got a 5-year old cocker spaniel staying with me for the Easter break. Took a few hours for him to settle, as it was his first time staying with me, but he's on the couch beside me now fast asleep.
