Shark the Herald Angel
If she does start to jump at anyone we say 'A-a-a! and 'Down!' and she usually stops. Obviously she not an angel dog but she is very, very good in most ways now she's grown up.

Going bonkers in the car when she sees other dogs, similar in our street are our two worst problems now. She sounds like a complete killer when she barks of course. It's not a yapp so people get the wrong message.....

I somehow missed that blog too Sharkie, but have caught up now. We had our last class for this term today - we start 'Advanced Level 2' in January and our instructor told us today that we will no longer get the certificate for just turning up for 11 weeks we have to be able to do all the things on the syllabus! I'll try to detail some of them here at some point - I suspect scanning the syllabus and putting it here as a picture may not be appropriate for copyright reasons etc.

Oh you do - and there are LOTS. We both thought of you when we re-read Raffo's report of that Sunday. We at least had each other to share bringing-up-baby - you are doing a MIGHTY FINE job all by yourself. It is bloody tough with a big (clever and strong) dog like Indi.

Thank you. Sometimes though J says to me 'We've been taking her to classes for 3 years - and half the time she still just does what she likes!' This is usually said when Wanda has worked out that we are about to go out without her and so will go upstairs because she knows she will be shut in the kitchen if we go out - so if she is not in there then we can't go out.... dog logic!

I'm going to give baked liver a try as a reward treat for the dogs. It's currently in the oven. Phoebe is very interested in the oven 😀

Ernie loved baked liver. Sadly it didn't agree with him. I think in very small quantities it would be ok but we are continually using treats to reinforce at the moment.

I hope nobody minds me doing a quick bit of research among dog owners here for our holiday let but we are very new to it all and still trying to work out what the best 'dog policy' to have should be. So I'd be interested to know what you all - as dog owners - would want/expect from a holiday home that you could take your dog to...or what would you consider too restrictive for taking your dog on holiday with you, if you have a moment to respond please?

Things like - being allowed on the furniture or not (including the beds), whether you'd expect to take your own throws for the furniture if they were allowed on it, what you would expect the property owner to provide (dog bowls etc), rules about leaving the dog unattended in the property etc. Please be honest too - if you have paid extra to take your dog would you still meticulously hoover up any dog hair before leaving anyway? Anything really that you consider a deal clincher if booking somewhere to stay with your dog.

Thank you :-) dog
