I have to agree, at the moment i have a minus score and I am running the same sort of distance I did before.

I've found that the new setup actually works in my favour - I am currently cycle commuting to work three days a week, running another three days and walking my dog. I stay pretty local unless I'm out long cycle rides. So I clear bugs pretty quickly and infect others in my area. The 200 bug clearing bonus is too high, proportionately. Flowers are too low. There needs to be a bit more balance so that people going more outside their areas are still "rewarded" for doing so. I would also like to be able to plan a route by clicking on items and those items remain shaded unless you click them again... At the moment when you click on another item, the previous item you clicked on un-shades.

The game has a totally different feel to it now.

Trouble for me is most of my training is away from my home point. but it is not a problem. i will just start logging walks to get the paper and things like that.

I'm with Zoom!

I'm bored with my home circle but that seems to be the only way to get any proper points. And with conquersize, I have to run too far to get anywhere that I haven't been before.

Joining this game just as I have to take a 4 day break from running hasn't done me any good! I'm also reminded of why I gave it up last time - I actually don't much like running about in my immediate environs as it's all built-up and residential and plotting routes to clear bugs and what have you is such a faff! I'm running with the group this evening and I can't really drag them about for a mile before we start :)

I've moved my home point and my bug penalties seem to be going down without me having logged anything.

But as others have said, don't like it, too heavily biased towards clearing bugs in a 1 mile circle.

While I agree entirely that there is a need to review the balance in relative value of the different markers, I can't help but be amused by the irony of multiple posts seeking an increase in the value of flowers. For years, this thread has been littered with comments bemoaning the disproportionate benefits these have afforded to cyclists covering large mileages at the expense of those who stay close to home and clear out the bugs ;)

I don't know where the right balance actually is but, at present, we seem mostly to be proving the old cliché that nobody can please all the people all the time :)

As someone who rarely runs from home as I live near city centre I think I will be lucky to get into positive points each day even though I regularly run 40 miles a week. Seems to be a lot of bugs, not many jewels.

Frequently Asked
===========
1) The scoreboard and markers don't 'reset' on the first of the month any more. They work on a rolling 30 day system.
2) You only need to worry about red bugs.
