"Lucky Beggar !! - Well done :-)" Hardly luck: second time this year. There should be a Higgs boson leader board. Each morning, I zoom out on the map and turn off all symbols and see if anything is left over. If I see anything, it is the Higgs boson and I then set out to hunt it down. Today it was a hundred metres south of Regent's Park tube station which is about 4.25 miles from my office, so ran out 4.25 miles, one lap of Park Crescent and 4.25 miles back: al in the torrential rain. I don't know how the boson moves: zoomed out my map is 10 miles by 10 miles so 100 square miles. The UK area is 93,800 square miles so if it is randomly dropped in the UK then it is a 1 in 983 chance and that happening twice is unlikely so I have to assume the boson is somewhat weighted by runners. |

I *think* the Higgs Bosun is randomly dropped in a players circle. So wouldn't necessarily have equal chance in the whole of the uk. Considering overlap of players circles in more densely populated areas it would certainly have a higher chance of being located in London.

Bob!
From my experience (having seen it twice) I believe the Higgs Bosun is dropped inside the 2 mile circle, but outside the one mile circle.

That's good fortune Pmj. When I picked my Higgs boson it was by accident. Didn't check the map before I went out which is unusual.

I've just noticed my nearest fetchpoint competitor is no longer playing, I used to collect their coins when I ran into town. This is not good. I live on a country lane, with only one footpath loop in my mile so I am very limited as to what I can collect. However, I suppose it means I can plant more flowers. I hope he's just on holiday and taken his home point with him... |
