Agreed about the markers Fetch. I was second to log parkrun on Saturday but still got some points from coins.

I've gone bridge bonkers. 28 placed so far I think, all but six of which are within my two-mile circle. When I've started thinking about it, there are a lot of bridges.

Hang on, just remembered some more.

Does a culvert carrying a stream under the road count?

I've pondered that USB (there's a few near here on one burn in particular) and decided for me, no.

The water was there first and the path/road is undoubtedly a means of crossing it, but the structure for crossing it is not what I would class as a bridge. I've made a micro-route to illustrate.

http://www.fetcheveryone.com/route-1733752 Use Pegman on the satellite view to see what I mean.

Fom the start point (right hand side) onto the main road, you cross a burn. Although the crossing has brick facings and looks a bit bridge like, I would not class this as a bridge. The burn is culverted. Further along there is a wee out and back. This crosses the burn again, but is very similar to the first crossing and again, to me, not a bridge. At the end of the route, if you look south, there is a small structure which I would count as a bridge - just. I'm applying a second test, which is "could I cross here without the bridge?" This is to weed out anything which is essentially an ornamental bridge. At this point I could probably loup the burn but I know from real-life experience that is is possible to fail to do this and land in the water ;-).

(Yes, I probably am overthinking things a bit here but hey, it's raining outside and I love maps bunny :-).)

It could work like pub cricket. The Black Horse gets you 4 points, The King William gets you 2 but The Kings Head not only gets nil points because it has no legs but also looses you all your points to date :-D That would make for some interesting routes.

Could do a pubs to mile ratio see who could score the best on their runs. Doing it by ratio makes it fair whether you run 2 miles or 20

I'm now viewing on work pc and still nothing. also points are at zero, and showing no recent activity and I definitely loaded my run last night. it is still showing the 1 gore marker I picked up last night though.

===========
1) The scoreboard and markers don't 'reset' on the first of the month any more. They work on a rolling 30 day system.
2) You only need to worry about red bugs.
