I enjoyed my first ever millionaire month in August. A good chunk of the points were from picking other people's flowers whilst I was on holiday in the UK. I'm going to aim for another million this month, but I'm not sure it's possible on my own. Are there any other solo players who manage high scores - without having to cycle silly miles every day?

Hi Alice it is possible to gain over a million points without silly mileage each day but it takes time, and depending where you are it, can be boring as you need to follow the same route(s) to build up flower trails, that hopefully no one else will pick. As an example someone running/cycling 5/6 miles a day planting 6 flowers each time will at the end of 6 weeks have 252 flowers on their trail so daily points gained thereafter would be; watering points 252x100 25200 New flowers planted 6x250 1500 Harvested flowers 6x5000 30000 Daily points 56700 Possible monthly points (30 days) 1701000 Add on coins etc that will be gained whilst travelling through you home circle you could be near 2m points. I know this example shows going out each day but it highlights one strategy that can be used to build points and if you look at most of the top points scorers whilst they do the mileage they also all have large numbers of flowers on their regular routes. Hope the above helps |

Thanks mick - great explanation! I can see I'm going to have to invest long term in flowers I do have a regular 8ish mile circuit which thankfully is quite a pleasant route, I just need to be disciplined enough to do it almost every day!

I got over 834,000 in August - still 15K below my highest ever. I run four times a week, and I like variety - so I'm never going to build up the kind of numbers Mick's talking about. I would like to get over a milllion at least once, though.

If you're looking to get over a million there is one other possiliblity and that is to go for every random possible and hope you get lucky and get one of the million ones

Yeah, that's kinda cheating, though, isn't it? Come to think of it - my 849K included a 100K random - and I definitely didn't get one of those last month. I think I had a 10K random, and a 1K - but otherwise, it was all my own work! |

Not harvested any flowers for a while, it felt like. This is because it's 5 weeks today since we got back from holiday, and whatever flowers I planted while away died for lack of water. Harvesting will resume a week tomorrow

Last time I got over a million was when I got the million random marker!

I think I got 2 x 100k last month, that'll be what did it. I went looking for them yesterday, got 7 but they were only worth 1000 each. Question please: when the bug penalties go up at the beginning of the month when you have no score, are the points then deducted once you have some points? |
