I was advised to have my bp measured by an eye specialist who found I have a cotton wool mark on a retina. I did and it is 198/101 which seemed to alarm the GP. She has put me on 5 mg Amlodipine. I am booked for the 24 monitor in a couple of weeks. Any thoughts or advice?

In the short term, try to relax and cut down on the salt. They will get the dose sorted over time.

You might want to be cautious with intensity, nothing wrong with volume.

Oh, and I’m sure as hell not a doctor, just reflecting the advice I’ve had as a patient.
