I'm glad we went the right way MN, it was fun being First Ladies for a while. The Marshall at that junction didn't know which way folk were meant to go, I did get apologies at the end from the organisers.

Other than that couldn't fault the race, good route with plenty of water stops. I had great company too. :-)

This has got to be one of the craziest runs I've ran. I never expected the coverage around it. I believe the Marshall and Lead car made a judgement call on which way to go as they were meant to be 2 marshalls at that point (one to slow down traffic and one to direct runners). However, at that point, the only one there was the one not giving directions.

Thanks Lesley C. I slowed down a bit in the end but pleased that I managed to keep going for as long as I did. No problem, Old Croc, I thought that one paper made both the club and myself look bad but the others seemed more based on the Elgin story and seen it for what it was. So need to apologise, these things happen.

Just a quick note to let folks know that the Glen Moray races are not happening this year.

The distillery are very busy at that time of year and other commitments mean taht they are unable to support the event this year.
They have been a massive help over the last few years promoting the races.

Shame, time to go back to the old route and set-up which was excellent.

to be honest Paul A the Glen Moray team rescued the event when the old version died and gave it a couple of years. The sponsors (and venue) have other pressures on a small team and limited resources.

Got something to say?
