i know it's a pain in the bum, and no date will suit everyone, but if we open it out as a wider scottish mile we could up the attendance....

something to sort for the autumn i'd say....

Personally i owe CS a huge thanks for chatting me / pacing me round to sub 9! when all i hoped for was sub 10! Turns out i was only 20s away from my PB time!

Nice work Maz.

I've always struggled to fit the Mile into my diary; just never seems to be enough notice. Can't believe how busy we are as a family sometimes. Will keep trying - got a sticker book to fill!

Good idea Maz, I've always enjoyed our fetch miles and would be happy to help organise another one. As Tomsmum says it's finding a date that's the tough thing. Probably best to call ASV to find available dates first then do a doodle. I presume people would prefer a Sunday?

BTW I realise I can still spout nonsense when sober as well as drunk! Sorry Scorge!

Track is getting re-furbished and will be closed from 2nd March to 31st May (to be confirmed), although if we are going for the autumn it will be all lovely again :)

Had a fantastic time too and pretty pleased with 11:28 (ish - awaiting confirmation) as I thought I'd be struggling to make it round in 12 minutes!

Perhaps we don't need a track? How about measuring 1/2mile along Lunan Bay when the tide is out and we can do an out and back? Not the best track for a PB but no fee and a nice Cafe there too.

I think I tried to organise the last local track mile but couldn't get enough peeps ... Not sure I ever announced my failed attempt so here it is ............. erm ..... it didnae work.

D'you know what JR, that's not such a daft idea. It might not be PB-worthy, but it'd be unique.
